Expressions of LoveThe Sunrise Ruby earrings are the penultimate expression of Love.Inspired by the 13th century Persian poem of the same name, by Rumi, the earrings have been 3D printed (in order to maintain the geometry of both of the sunrise rays, then cast in 18K gold). They feature, of course, a star ruby.What is a star ruby you ask? It is a more rare version of a ruby, especially as most rubies are now faceted. But some rubies (and sapphires), when cut 'en cabachon' (as a dome) will generate a star when a bright light is shone on it, making them very special to see.In this case (and in the other star rubies I have for these earrings), the rubies are natural, not heat or chemically treated, and certified.This example: 9.17ct star ruby, 3D printed, cast in 18K white gold.
