Support local theatre productions and visit the village playhouse in 2019. Their next show, 'Moonlight and Magnolias', is premiering in just a few days! Legendary film producer David O. Selznick is five weeks into shooting Gone With the Wind when he realizes the script is awful, and that the director doesn't have a clue. He has five days to replace them, and restart the shoot, or the production will shut down. Selznick calls Victor Fleming from the set of The Wizard to Oz to direct, and he taps legendary playwright, screenwriter and script doctor Ben Hecht to rewrite the script. There's only one problem: Hecht hasn't read the book. The play runs from January 11th to February 2nd, contact the Village Playhouse for more details and to book tickets. Happy New Year!!! Did you have fun? We are into 2019 and we hope that this will be the year that you choose to shift some of your shopping away from the online chain retailers and instead shop locally. We can't expect everyone to shop exclusively locally but just shifting some of your shopping into the local community and into independent stores will help businesses and the local economy.
