Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

The MSK US examination is used to examine the rotator cuff for any tears or tendonitis. Although MRI is superior to US, this examination is easy to perform, does not require patient to stay still for a long period of time and is easily available.
Almost all soft tissue abnormalities can be easily examined by US examination and is in a lot of instances the screening test before other investigations are ordered.

Indications.

• Rotator cuff tears in the shoulder joint.
• Mass is felt clinically.
• Baker's cyst behind the knee.
• Muscular, Ligament or tendon injury.
