Description
Michelle Tiangco has been a physiotherapist for seven years and have worked in a health care environment since 2003. She graduated in Fatima Medical University in Manila, Philippines. She holds a dual country licensure in Philippines and Canada, a member of the CPA and a member in good standing with the CPO.
Majority of the populations she treats are mostly teens, adult & geriatric populations with orthopedic conditions, primarily addressing postural and functional dysfunctions as her holistic method in treating. Her physiotherapy approach is Eclectic. Education, manual, electro & hydrotherapy and exercises integrated with traditional, non-traditional & modern approaches with referral to health care professional team blend quite well for effective treatment of the human body. Every individual has a unique way of healing and her passion is to discover it through treating different populations.
She manages acute to chronic conditions and equally value medically necessary maintenance and preventative strategies to promote health. Her management include individualized consultation and coaching, exercise and manual therapy. As exercise is fundamental in physiotherapy along with lifestyle change for preventative measures, she gives active management to most of her clients. Her manual techniques have elements of osteopathy in them, to initiate and maintain improvement on the tissue structure and function. These osteopathic manual techniques are: Muscle Energy Techniques, Positional Release Techniques, MFR, visceral and craniosacral. Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), acupuncture, cupping & dry needling are in her toolbox to help complement the manual treatment.
